Cannot Access Personal Contacts from eMail
Here’s the scenario: you create an email, pull down past the global address list to your personal contacts…and they aren’t there. OR you go into your contacts, choose a distribution list that you’ve made in Outook, right click, and choose “New Message to Contact” or “New Meeting Request to Contact.” The email or invitation opens with the name of the distribution list only; it doesn’t actually contain the members of the list. Here’s what you need to do:
At the top left hand side of the contacts page, right click on the contact icon.
Choose “Properties”
Click on the “Outlook Address Book” tab.
Check the box that says “Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book.”
Click”OK.”
You’re finished.
If the checkbox is grayed out:
In your main tool bar choose Tools>email accounts>Add a directory or address book. Click “Next.”
Choose “Additional Address Books.” Click “Next.”
Highlight “Outlook Address Book.” Click “Next.”
Click “Finish.”
Restart Outlook.
